Ministries
Sunday School
We have a class for everyone on Sunday morning. A nursery is available, preschoolers (age 3-5), Children’s classes (age 3-4) and (age 5–6), Youth group is grades 7-12. We also have four adult small groups who enjoy studying the word of God and then taking those lessons out into the community.
Awana for Children
The name Awana is an acrostic which stands for “Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed” and is taken from II Timothy 2:15. Jones Creek Baptist Church’s Awana Clubs are for children two years old through twelfth grade. The goal of Awana Clubs is to reach boys and girls with the gospel of Christ and train them to serve Him.
Students
Our youth ministry is important to us. We believe the youth are the church of today and the future. The goal of the youth ministry is ultimately see teenagers come to Christ, to encourage them to grow in their faith and to teach them to share their faith with others.
Women
Our Women’s ministry reaches out to women to help them know and mature in the study of God’s Word and enrich their lives socially, emotionally, and physically. We offer times of Bible study, retreats and special events throughout the year.
Men
The men of the church meet occasionally for fellowship, food, and Bible Study. The goal of our fellowships is to encourage our men to be examples of Godly leadership not only in their homes but also in the community and their workplaces. Proverbs 27:17 “As iron sharpens iron, so a man sharpens the countenance of his friend.”
Music
Music plays a mighty role in leading the people of God in worship. Our music ministry exists to help believers develop the gifts that God has given them and to lead them to use those gifts in the various worship services of the church. Through many different styles and many different opportunities, our goal is to use music to lead people into the presence of God. We have both an adult and children’s choirs.
